Tyre Tracks

Tread depth tracking for iOS, Android, and macOS

The Story

Tyre Tracks started from a simple frustration: there was no good way to track tyre tread depth over time. You could measure your tread, but then what? A number scribbled on a note doesn't tell you when you'll need new tyres, whether your wear is even, or how your driving habits are affecting tyre life.

I built Tyre Tracks to turn those individual measurements into something useful — replacement predictions, wear pattern analysis, and actionable insights. Whether you call them tyres or tires, the goal is the same: help drivers stay safe, plan ahead, and save money.

Who Built This

My name is Will Alexander. I'm a software developer based in London. I built Tyre Tracks because I wanted a better way to track tyre wear across my own vehicles, and nothing on the market did what I needed.

What started as a personal tool grew into an app used by drivers across the UK, Europe, the US, and Australia. The app now supports connected vehicle integration (Tesla, Volvo, Porsche, Audi), AI-powered analysis, and multi-vehicle fleet management.

What the App Does

  • Tread depth tracking — log measurements for each tyre position and track changes over time
  • Replacement predictions — data-driven estimates of when each tyre will need replacing, based on your actual wear rate
  • Even wear analysis — detect alignment, pressure, or suspension issues before they become expensive
  • Connected vehicles — automatic mileage sync from Tesla, Volvo, Porsche, and Audi
  • AI analysis — personalised maintenance recommendations based on your driving data
  • Tyre pressure tracking — monitor pressures and see how they correlate with wear rates
  • Multi-vehicle support — manage your entire fleet in one place with Tyre Tracks Pro
  • Service schedules — track MOTs, services, and maintenance across all vehicles
  • Vehicle valuations — monthly automated market valuations for your vehicles

Free to Use

Tyre Tracks is free to download and use for a single vehicle. All core features — tread tracking, replacement estimates, wear analysis, pressure logging, MOT history, and service schedules — are included at no cost.

Tyre Tracks Pro (£0.99/month or £5.99/year) unlocks unlimited vehicles, AI analysis, multi-measurement mode, tyre size lookups, and vehicle image lookups.
